Hear This From Me
We don't all see the same stories anymore. On issues like ICE, many of us are reacting to completely different information—and often talking past each other.
This is an attempt to share one story directly, person to person.

Social media decides what each of us sees. That means Americans aren't just disagreeing—we're often responding to entirely different realities.
Email is different. It's slower. More personal. And it still carries trust.
Some people are choosing to share personal experiences this way instead of posting publicly.
Not to persuade. Not to debate. Just to be heard.
What we're asking you to do
Write one honest email about your personal experience with ICE and send it to people you trust.
That's it.
You decide:
- What you share
- Who you send it to
- Whether to include photos
- Whether to invite forwarding
There's no right way to do this.
You don't need to answer all of these. They're just here to help you start:
- Why am I writing this?
- What is my connection to ICE?
- One moment I remember clearly
- What this experience changed for me—or made me question
